Solomon Islands will be represented by 22 sporting federations at the South Pacific Games in July.
NOCSI President Martin Rara says the sporting federations were confirmed after NOCSI send its numerical entry to Papua New Guinea.
“The National Olympic Committee Solomon Islands we have already sent the numerical entries to Papua New Guinea and the total number of federations that will represent Solomon Islands in the upcoming South Pacific Games are 22 national federations and the total number of athletes to be entered into the database for the games are 326 athletes.”
Meanwhile, the NOCSI President has urged national federations to train hard to achieve good results.
“Though it is February and you might think that July is a long way to go I would like to encourage all the national federations that a last minute preparation cannot help. Whilst we are trying to catch up with time I would like to call on all the national federations to train harder and listen to their coaches and do exactly as what they say and with that I am sure we can achieve a good result for our hard work.”
