TO OUR DEAR LISTENER:
SIBC is the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation with Call Sign Radio Happy Isles.
The Service continues to maintain it's public service status as the National Broadcaster, operating from its headquarters in Honiara. SIBC transmits on Medium wave 1035KHz and on Short wave 5020 kHz in the 60 Meter Band. SIBC also operates the WanTok FM transmitting on 96.3MHz. Radio Happy Lagoon in Gizo broadcasts on 945KHz in the Medium Wave Band. Radio Temotu is anticipated to be back on air in June 2001 on 1386KHz Medium Wave Band. As the National broadcaster, SIBC continues to advocate peace and unity in the Happy Isles.. The SIBC is your sports station.

Mission:
At this time of Reconciliation , Restoration and Reconstruction, the SIBC will prepare and transmit well packaged programs and news to promote a sense of national unity and Reconciliation: uphold the cultural values of Solomon Islands and create programs that meet the educational and informational needs of the listener.
