A320 AIRBUS TO UNDERGO ANNUAL MAINTENANCE IN MANILA

Solomon Airlines flagship Airbus A320 will be undergoing scheduled annual maintenance in Manila, Philippines starting tomorrow.

The Solomon Airline Office says the national carrier has resorted to operate a Nauru B737-300 to replace the Airbus A320 four weekly Honiara-Brisbane service and weekly services to Port Vila, Vanuatu, and Nadi, Fiji.

The Solomon Airlines’ General Manager of Operations & Commercial, Gus Kraus describes the maintenance as ‘standard’ for the A320.

Mr Kraus says, this is crucial to keep up with the carrier’s extremely high standards of safety.

Solomon Airline anticipates, the maintenance runs to the end of this month.
