BARTHOLOMEW VAVANGA IS NEW PREMIER FOR GUADALCANAL PROVINCE

The Guadalcanal Provincial Assembly has a new Premier he is Bartholomew Vavanga provincial member for Ghaobata ward, North Guadalcanal.

Mr. Vavanga was elected into office yesterday afternoon by the Guadalcanal Provincial Members.

Speaking to SIBC News Freelancer Allan Tarohania reports, Mr Vavanga’s election is historical in a sense that he polled 21 votes, meaning all the 21 Provincial Members of Guadalcanal Provincial Assembly have supported his leadership.

“Honourable Vavanga is a historical one in a sense that he has polled a total of 21 votes during the election yesterday. The 21 votes mean that all the Members of the Provincial Assembly including the candidate for the Premier’s post who is Honourable Peter Aoranisaka voted for the Premier.”
