CHESS LEAGUE KICKS OFF IN HONIARA

The 2014 Chess League has kicked off in the capital.

President of the Solomon Islands Chess Federation Luke Mamae says more than 50 players from eight clubs within Honiara are competing in the league.

He says this Sunday the competition reaches round three, adding in the fourth round clubs will break for the upcoming national general
elections.

Round seven of the competition will be on December 14 and finals are likely to be held on that date.

SIBC Sports understands, the league started two weeks ago.
