The Solomon Islands Meteorological office says the country will experience weather changes as we move into the tropical cyclone season.

Principle Forecaster Manoah Tepa told SIBC News this is a natural change as we head closer to the tropical cyclone season which begins next month.

“We will expect too as we go closer to this tropical cyclone season which is from November to April 2017, we expect such as the weather to change like coming into wet. A few more days before the season but as we approach it we see some signs of change in the weather.”

Mr. Tepa says a trough is currently located North of the country with easterly trade winds while some showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the week.
