The European Union Office in Solomon Islands will commemorate European Union Day tomorrow.

The EU Day is an annual event commemorated on May 9th.

In an interview with SIBC News, EU Ambassador to Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, Leonidas Tezapsidis says it commemorates a milestone in European integration.

“In the evening we will have a reception at 6pm in which the authorities of Solomon Islands will be present, the diplomatic corp and also members of the civil society, private sector and the media. On Saturday itself we will have a quiz at SIBC and we hope that your listeners will join in and put their questions and hopefully others will find answers on what is the EU. We have also had a competition among children.”
