Counting of all ballot boxes begins tomorrow morning, Thursday 20th November.

Chief Electoral Officer Polycarp Haununu made this statement during a joint media conference with the Royal Solomon Islands Police this afternoon.

Mr Haununu explains, after polls closed at 5pm this evening, all ballot boxes will be transported to their counting stations for safe keeping over night.

He says provincial centres will mostly be used as counting stations.

Mr Haununu adds, all election results are expected to be announced by this Saturday.
