Eradicating all forms of violence in the country is a real priority for the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF).
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast made the statement after the Police Sexual Assault Unit received a number of violence-related cases recently.
Mr Prendergast said the RSIPF will do more work to ensure a violence free-community in the country.
“As I’ve said before family violence, domestic violence and violence against women and children is a real priority for the RSIPF and we need to all work cooperatively to make sure these things don’t occur in our communities.”
The Police Commissioner urged the public to report any cases and not to tolerate such offences.
