Former Vice President for Honiara Town Council Charles Lesimaoma has called on the council to properly zone the City and Central Business District boundary while conducting it’s building inspection.
Mr Lesimaoma said, a report in zoning the town was made previously but was never imposed by the Honiara City Council’s physical division.
He said proper inspection and zoning will differentiate residential and commercial buildings in the city’s outskirt.
“This is to properly zone the city so that we can identify where the residential areas, commercial areas like heavy industrial sites are. Currently, the city has been a total mess.”
Mr Lesimaoma adds, building ordinances should be properly imposed to ensure proper buildings are built in the City.
