A former senior officer of the High Court will stand trial next week for allegedly embezzling $20,000 from the High Court registry office.

The former Office Manager Patterson Pou appeared at the Magistrate’s Court this morning for an interim mention of his case.

Mr Pou is accused of converting for his own use $20,000 collected and received by the High Court for Security of Cost for a case.

It is alleged the High Court received the money without any deposit to the Ministry of Finance.

Principal Magistrate Jim Seuika confirmed the trial date has been fixed for the 19th to the 23rd of this month.
