A former public servant has condemned the tax-free salary entitlements for Members of Parliament saying this is not right.

Eddie Leamae told SIBC News the timing of these tax free benefits for MPs is also not right as people are expecting the 2015 budget to be implemented.

He said Members of Parliament should consider developing lives of people before awarding themselves with tax free salaries.

“I think it’s not timely for the PEC to award the MPs with a tax-free incentive. They should award it later.
