Some members of the Guadalcanal Provincial Government have expressed concern that they were “excluded” from a review summit of the draft federal constitution.
The Draft Federal Constitutional Review Summit was held at the Guadalcanal Beach Resort this week.
The Provincial Assembly Member for Aola Ward in East Guadalcanal, Gordon Tapalia told SIBC News the leadership of the Guadalcanal Provincial Government should have been represented at the national constitutional consultation.
“We haven’t received any formal letter, no invitation letter, and no information. We just noticed the absence of some of our colleagues from the office and so we guess they are at the GBR for federal constitution discussions, hence we are worried about our people’s contribution to the discussions would be.”
