GUADALCANAL PREMIER ANNOUNCED PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE

Guadalcanal Premier, Bartholomew Vavanga has announced his ministerial portfolios with the swearing in of 11 provincial ministers today.

Of the 21 provincial assembly members, 11 have taken their Oaths and were given ministerial portfolios.

Acting Provincial Secretary Charles Sisimia outlined the new ministerial portfolio allocations to SIBC News today.

“The first person to take his oath, is the Deputy Premier and Minister for Economic Planning and Provincial Development, Honourable Rolland Seleso, followed by John Nano the Provincial Minister for Lands, Honourable Patrick Koeolia is provincial Minister for Women, Sports and Youths, Honourable Lazarus Rina is the Provincial Minister for  Education and Human Resource Development while Honourable Godfrey Raubola is the Provincial Minister for Health and Medical Services.”

He also outlined other provincial ministers who took their Oath of Office today.

“The Honourable David Ono is the Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, Honourable Joseph Tausuli is the Provincial Minister for the Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Jacob Manungelea is the Provincial Minister for Mines and Energy, Honourable Lionel Longarata is the Provincial Minister for Provincial Affairs and the other two were Honourable Andrew Rayboy Provincial Minister for Works and Honourable Issac Rakuni is the Provincial Minister for Provincial Affairs.”

The Acting Provincial Secretary adds the Premier is currently looking after Finance and Administration as it is yet to be filled.
