H.C.C HAS NEW COUNCILORS FOR NEXT FOUR YEARS

The Honiara City Council now has new Councilors for the four years.

After counting was conducted until late last night, results have been finalized.

Former Lord Mayor Andrew Mua has retained his seat as Councilor for Ward one Ngossi while Eddie Ngava is the new Councilor for Ward two Mbuburu.

Eddie Siapu is the new Councilor forward three Lengakiki, while John Wale is the new Councilor for Ward four Cruz.

Meanwhile, John Aruhane is the new Councilor for Ward five Vavaya, while Jack Igi is the new Councilor for Ward six Vuhokesa.

Other councilors also include Eric Tema, new Councilor for Ward seven Mataniko, Badley Scott Rarai new Councilor for Ward eight and Charles Kira the new Councilor for Ward nine Kukum.

Also, Charles Ai Wasuga is the new Councilor for Ward 10 Naha while Alpheus Fatai is the new Councilor for Ward 11 Vura and Richard Safue new Councilor for Ward 12 Panatina.

SIBC News understands of the 12 councilors being elected, eight are newcomers while four are former councilors who retained their seats.
