Another Heavy Rain Alert is in force for Temotu, Makira, Malaita, Guadalcanal, Central, Isabel, Choiseul and Western provinces.
The Heavy Rain Alert Number Four was issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service at 7:30 this morning.
The alert message states a trough – a region of unstable air – lies just North of Solomon Islands and links to a Low Northeast of Isabel Island and slowly moving in a westerly direction.
It adds, associated rain, heavy at times is expected to affect the Solomon Islands within the next 24 to 48 hours.
The Met office said such localised Heavy Rain may lead to flash flooding or flooding to communities living close to rivers, streams and low lying areas.
It adds, the next update will be issued at 5:00pm this evening.
