The Magistrates Court has acquitted a High Court Officer accused of stealing $30,000 from the High Court Registry office in 2012.

Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Kouhota acquitted former office Manager Patterson Pou due to insufficient evidence.

Magistrate Kouhota says after considering all the evidence before him, he finds no sufficient evidence to prove that Mr Pou has actually stolen the monies.

Mr Pou stood trial for three days on the case last month.

He was acquitted Monday this week.
