INTER-MINISTRY TOURNEY KICK STARTS IN HONIARA TODAY

Honiara will came alive today with the 2014 Inter-Ministry Soccer and Volleyball league Parade and kick-off ceremony today at Rove field this afternoon.

A total of 86 teams in both soccer and volleyball are participating in this year’s league.

The Inter-ministry kicks off with a colorful uniform parade to showcase Ministry team uniforms, starting from the Central Police Station to the Rove field.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Band is expected to lead the Uniform Parade.

The Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services is hosting this year’s sporting event.

Vice Chair of the Inter-Ministry Organising Committee, Morris Hakapauhenua says the league this year will be an exciting event and the Ministry is honored to host this year competition.

Mr Hakapauhenua adds the Committee wants to see this event become an enjoyable one for young and old employees of the public service, and for staff to play some fun games after work.
