The Kwana’ai Tribe Board of Trustees (KBT) in Malaita Province has clarified its position in relation to the statement made by the Malaita Provincial Premier Peter Ramohia for public to refrain from making negative comments regarding the issue of project implementation in the province.

KBT recently commented on the statement by the Premier that there is no budget allocation for all national project on Malaita province.

But KBT Spokesperson David Suata says KBT as a partner to the Suafa Bay national project also is equally responsible for expressing its views on the national projects.

“It has the responsibility also to express its views, take, for instance, why KBT has to talk is because it recognises inputs both from national and traditional leaders who contributed to the economic and commercial development of this nation.”
