National secondary institution, King George the Sixth School is facing closure due to disconnected water supply.

Solomon Water disconnected the school’s water supply on July 9 because of outstanding bills and School Principal Samuel Fangata says they will close down the school if the water supply is not restored soon.

Principal Fangata also said, the Education Ministry paid out 7-hundred thousand dollars to Solomon Water on Thursday last week.

However, the water authority failed to re-connect the school’s water supply.

Mr Fangata says if the water supply is not reconnected by next week, the school will have to close.
