Police has placed a ban on overnight liquor licenses to minimize alcohol-related crimes during the festive seasons.
Acting Police Commissioner Supervising Walter Kola announced the ban at a press conference this week.
He also called on the public to support the police in their Christmas and New year Operations.
The Acting Police Commissioner Supervising also announced there is a ban in all-nighter licenses for nightclubs and that nightclubs must close at 2 am.
He also appealed fundraising coordinators to ensure they have proper licenses to sell alcohol and conduct card games during their fundraising events.
