A group from the Kukum United Church successfully carried out a religious mission to Paukalia village, Central Guadalcanal over the weekend.

The group left Honiara Thursday morning last week with their Reverend Minister, Church Pastor, men , women and youths and arrived at the remote village after more than 6 hours travel.

The aim of the Mission was to witness to the people of Paukalia about Jesus Christ and assist them to receive salvation.

It was a blessed Spiritual weekend as people from Paukalia and neighbouring communities accepted Christ into their lives and others reaffirmed their faith.

The youngest member of the group is Cornelius Melangu, a grade five student at Lungga Primary school and he summed up the rest of the group’s testimonies about the trip after they arrived yesterday.

“I am glad to have helped the people to pray and to know God because He has a plan for us on this earth so I have to follow this mission to fulfill that plan and so after the mission, I felt like completing the plan.”

The Kukum United Church congregation will undertake another mission, this time to Savo in September.
