Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo says the country’s legal system is functioning well according to the RAMSI review report.
Prime Minister Lilo made the statement during his opening remarks on a consultative meeting to review RAMSI report in Solomon Islands.
Mr Lilo says the country’s legal system is functioning well despite challenges faced relating to resources on the report finding.
“In this report it has also been featured that the legal system is functioning well despite the challenges that it has faced relating to resources and funding, but the wider issue of reconciliation and peace building is the responsibility of the people of Solomon Islands and one that work is still in progress.”
The Prime Minister adds, it is the task of the government, private sectors, and the people of Solomon Islands to ensure peaceful living in the communities.
SIBC News understands, the RAMSI review report will be presented to cabinet and parliament later this year.
