The national government is currently finalising arrangements for the Melanesian Spearhead Groups (MSG) Summit this month.
Delegates for the MSG Summit will begin arriving in Honiara early next week ahead of the opening of the Senior Officials Meeting on June 18.
The government says, it National Planning Taskforce headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) is currently finalising arrangements for the meeting.
Chair of the Taskforce, William Soaki said his team is moving closer towards finalising major areas including accommodation, meeting venues, transportation, and security and catering services for the Summit.
SIBC News understands the Summit will begin with the Senior Officials Meeting to be followed by the MSG Foreign Ministers Meeting on June 22 and the Leaders Summit on June 24.
