The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs has officially launched its newly established website.

The website is to ensure the Ministry is visible in providing information globally.

It will also provide opportunities for the Ministry to engage and interact with stakeholders in addressing the needs of women, youths, children and families in Solomon Islands.

Speaking during the launching ceremony, Minister for Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs Jimson Tanaganda said, the newly launched website will increase the Ministry’s capability as a modern way of doing business.

“It’s the appointed time where the Ministry steps out boldly into cyberspace and joins the rest of the world to share, to explore, to learn and increase its visibility as a new way of doing business, but I believe it will not be business as usual.”

The Minister adds, his Ministry will now be visible to the world on issues affecting women, youth, children and families.

“We are no longer that small ministry that have been dubbed as. We are now a force to be reckoned with because we have chosen to open our doors in order to be visible to the world out there and I think that is important so that the issues affecting women, youth, children and families in the Solomon Islands are not confined and restricted within the ministry itself.”
