The National Disaster Management Office has sent a Support Team from Honiara to Temotu Province.

The Support Team left for Temotu on Friday on board Patrol Boat Auki and will accompany the Temotu Provincial Assessment Team to Anuta and Tikopia – areas reported as being most affected by Cyclone Pam.

NDMO’s Chief Operations Officer George Baragamu said the teams will conduct an assessment, verify damages, collect data and deliver relief supplies to people from most affected areas.

The team will return to Honiara early next week.
