The concept of making a new covenant with God is the way forward for a new Malaita province.
Premier Edwin Suibaea made this statement during Malaita province’s seventh anniversary of the signing of the new covenant with God, held in North Malaita Monday this week.
SIBC’s Malu’u stringer, Lensley Kwaimani reported Premier Suibaea as saying previous provincial governments have longed to see a new Malaita, which they have never achieved.
“Premier Suibaea said many previous Malaita Provincial Governments
have been longing to see a new Malaita but have never achieved it. Honourable Suibaea said the signing and the commemoration of the new covenant rains down on the top of the mountains, in the valleys and all coastal lines of Malaita Province. He urged all Malaitans to know what has happened as this is the only way to be connected back their God.”
The Malaita Premier adds, making a new covenant with God is how Malaita Province will develop.
SIBC News understands the covenant signing ceremony took place at Rame’ai, North Malaita yesterday.
