The Provincial Premier of Central Islands Province welcomes the intention of non-executive Members to remove him from the Premier’s post.

The non-executive group within the Central Provincial Assembly has lodged a No Confidence Motion notice to the office of the Provincial Speaker.

Provincial Speaker John Bosamata has confirmed, his office has received the notice and endorsed it be moved in the next Assembly Sitting.

He reveals, the notice was lodged by the MPA for Tulagi, Hon Patrick Vasuni.

Meanwhile, Premier Mapuli said he welcomes the No Confidence motion against him.

“I am still confident as anything could happen within the next couple of days and if not, then that means the majority wins, so someone has to take on the leadership, but in the meantime, we’ll have to wait patiently and finally, I would like to thank the support from the province for the time we’ve come so far until this no confidence montion because some people though that running a government is something to be inherited.”
