Member of Parliament for Small Malaita Rick Hou says the Political Parties Integrity Bill will provide an opportunity for women to become part of decision making at the National Level.
Mr Hou highlighted this during the recent debate of the Bill in Parliament.
He says the issue often reserved seats for women in Parliament has been very difficult for past Governments to address.
But he says under clauses 48 to 50 , a system is provided for women to enter Parliament.
He says parties are encouraged to field in women Candidates.
“It provides an incentive system for our women, well actually to encourage parties to field women candidates and like others have said an incentive, that is monitoring. Which is I think, quite an effective way to ensure women folk come.”
