Participants attending a Trauma Counselling Workshop are reminded that ‘Peace is everybody’s business’.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Unity, Reconciliation and Peace, Lennis Rukale said without everyone’s active participation and partnership in transforming our society, peace and prosperity will only be heard of.

He stressed the basic principles of peace and reconciliation must precede development talks.

PS Rukale said his Ministry only has a limited budget to support groups and organization on programs and activities relating to peace.

However, despite the financial limitation, the ministry hopes that with partners’ support, Solomon Islands will nurture national peace.

Meanwhile, Life and Hope Ministry Director Matter Horivapo thanked the Ministry of National Unity, Reconciliation and Peace for its support.

The workshop is funded and facilitated by the Ministry of National Unity, Reconciliation and Peace and Life and Hope Ministry.
