PM LILO CLEARED OVER MISCONDUCT IN OFFICE ALLEGATIONS

The Leadership Code Commission (LCC) has declared a no substance against the allegation laid before Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo, regarding misconduct in office in early 2013.

The Commission carried out the investigation following news articles carried in the media in early 2013 and a formal report to the commission alleging that the Prime Minister has involved in a misconduct in office.

In a recent media statement LCC Chairperson Emanuel Kouhota said there was no evidence to support the allegation and declared there was no substance in the allegations made against Mr Lilo.

It said the Commission has made the declaration after considering evidences during investigations and testimonies made under oath by witnesses during its inquiry.

The Commission said it will take no further actions against the Prime Minister after this declaration.
