Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has received a courtesy call from the Deputy Secretary, International Development Group of New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Jonathan King.

Mr King is in Honiara for the high-level consultations with the Solomon Islands Government on the implementation of ongoing New Zealand bilateral technical assistance work programme for Solomon Islands.

The government says one of the agendas discussed with Mr King was the political processes to work through to see the completion of Munda International Airport runway.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sogavare has acknowledged the bilateral technical assistance of the New Zealand Government to Solomon Islands.

He also expressed the Government’s desire is to see Solomon Islands make full use of this assistance.
