The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) will launch a high-profile security operation in Honiara during the Prime Minster’s election on Tuesday.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast told local reporters, security operation is in place for the PM’s election.
Commissioner Prendergast says while the Participating Police Force expects to assist the RSIPF, the public is urged to always abide by police instructions during the operation.
Prendergast assured the public that various sections of the police will involve in the operation which expects to cover the Parliament House and other areas in Honiara City.
He says all elements of the RSIPF are involved- from the Traffic Department through to the Police Response Team.
