Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and his delegation to the recent Malaita Provincial Second Appointed Day were greeted with banner messages, questioning the DCC Government’s promises to the people of Malaita.
Malaita Provincial Premier, Peter Ramohia said a lot has been promised, but so far nothing has happened.
“Unfortunately, our other national projects such as Bina Habour, Suafa project, Kilu’ufi hospital, the Auluta and Waisi oil palm projects to name a few have been in the radar of the past and present governments but nothing seems to be happening.”
The Premier adds the Auluta land has been registered, but there are no investors.
He said the projects earmarked for Malaita province are like music to their ears without any concrete steps taken.
