The New Zealand High Commission is proud to participate with the Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Douglas Ete, in the launch of the New Zealand Pacific Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme this week in Honiara.

The Programme will be implemented by the United Nations Population Fund in partnership with the governments of Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Tonga and Samoa.

Enabling young women and their partners to make choices about when they have children, and providing information and services to ensure healthy mothers and child, is essential to empowering Pacific women.

The New Zealand High Commission’s website reports, improved sexual and reproductive health is a critical area of investment in Pacific health for New Zealand.
