The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) will provide the most effective strategy for dealing with crime as a tool to build peace in the communities.
Deputy Police Commissioner Gabriel Manelusi revealed this during the International Day of Peace celebration last Wednesday.
Mr. Manelusi said crime prevention remains a priority for the RSIPF as it will build a community confidence within the force and reduce the fear of crime.
He said an effective crime prevention strategy will provide improved information for the RSIPF when crime develops.
“It will provide a more effective strategy in dealing with crime as a tool to build peace in the communities. The strategy will also provide the RSIPF with improved information and intelligence with which it can deal with crime issues as they develop.”
