The Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) will next Saturday have its final Sevens screening for the South Pacific Games.
A statement from the federation said the decision was taken following the poor attendance at training sessions by some of the national Sevens players during past weeks and in compliance with the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands to have all final team lists submitted by March 23rd.
The Rugby federation warns that players will have to prove their worth to represent the country in the upcoming South Pacific Games this July.
Players who are not physically fit or those who skip training will be omitted from the final team.
It says, players in the national training squad are reminded that the team will go through a series of fitness tests Monday and Wednesday next week, followed by internal trial matches on Saturday 21st to help the team management with selections.
