SI TO WELCOME 8 CRUISE VISITS IN 2016

Solomon Islands will welcome eight separate cruise visits this year.

This is a 100 percent increase on it’s 2015 cruise schedule result in building on the country’s potential as a new and exciting destination for international cruise market.

Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau Chief Executive Officer, Josefa ‘Jo’ Tuamoto says the national tourist office has to go along with government and local private sector support to turn what he described as a “huge potential” into reality.

Mr Tuamoto explains, tourism is fast emerging as a major driver for the country’s GDP.
