Solomon Islands Electoral Commission begins dispatching provincial teams to publish the voters provisional list in registration centres across the country.

Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mose Saitala revealed over the weekend during a talk back show at the National Broadcaster’s Valeluma.

CEO Saitala confirmed, the first team, armed with the provisional list, left Saturday morning to the provinces.

He said some of the officers left on Sunday and later dates.

“Many of you are aware that we are at the stage where we are almost rolling out now the provisional voters list of electors.

“Some actually left this morning to some provinces with regard to transportation of those provisional lists while some are also on the way tomorrow and any of the remaining days.”

He explained, as required by the SIEC timeline, the provisional list will be pinned up at all constituencies by Monday next week.

“The idea is that we should be able to publish this on the 29th as scheduled. We’re a bit running out of time, but none the less we still have a lot of time to be able publish the list throughout the country in the different voter registration centers where you have registered during the registration period from the 3rd to the last week of September.
