Honiara residents will continue to experience improvements to their water supply following the recent devastation of floods and damages.

Solomon Water’s Operations Manager Ray Andresen says water from the Tasahe reservoir tank was fed into the Kongulai Gravity system.

He explains, this means White River, St John School, Independence Valley, Laundry Valley, Tandai Heights, Rove and Rifle Range will now receive water, however, this will be rationed only during daylight hours.

Sixty five percent of the residents in Honiara now receive water to their homes and Solomon Water Operations teams are working hard to restore full operations of Honiara’s water supply system.

He says all areas should have some water now.

Mr Andresen advices, Honiara residents must use water sparingly until the water crisis is over.

He further advice, people should boil drinking water before using it.
