“The entire country can be rest assured, Solomon Islands tourism future is in very safe hands”- key message emanating from Tuesday night’s Inter Secondary Schools Oratory Contest at the National Museum.

Officially opening the event, the Hon. Minister for Culture and Tourism, Bodo Heinz Dettke said the Ministry has long been advocating for greater awareness on the benefits the tourism industry can rake in.

Minister Dettke said the oratory event, and its involvement with younger Solomon Islanders provided a perfect platform.

Six local students went head to head delivering their thoughts on the main theme for this year’s Our Telekom National Tourism Forum – ‘Managing Change and Creating a Million Tourism Opportunities’.
