The Central Heroes Social Sports Club has successfully completed a two weeks cricket tournament at Faleta village in the Central Province.

The tournament attracts a good number of teams participating in various categories including women and children.

President of the Central Heroes Sports Club Johnson Teava told SIBC Sports the tournament is to develop and revive cricket in the Solomon Islands.

“Cricket is one of the games that died out in the country and I am trying to revive it and Tulagi is the first place on which cricket was played when it was introduced in the Solomon Islands.”

The two weeks cricket tournament was supported by the Central Heroes Sports Club in Central Islands Province.
