TAIWAN TECHNICAL MISSION LAUNCHED STUDENT PROGRAM

The Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) have successfully launched another ‘Students Practical Training Attachment Program’ in Honiara.

The training program was formulated to teach students from Rural Training Centres (RTC) and Vocational Training Centres (VTC) across the country.

Taiwan Ambassador to Solomon Islands, His Excellency Victor Te Sun Yu says Taiwan always stands ready to assist Solomon Islands in its development efforts.

“Taiwan and the Republic of China will always standย ready to help Solomon Islands in various aspects, agriculture development in particular. The program is part and parcel of the assistance program Taiwan extends to Solomon Islands, demonstrating the ever strengthening of our friendship alliance between our two countries.”

Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Jimmy Saelea acknowledge Taiwan for its continuous assistance to the Ministry’s extension programs.

“It is common knowledge now that the Taiwan Technical Mission to Solomon Islands has over the years been a very important partner and part of MAL Agriculture extension program, addressing various areas of agriculture.”

SIBC News understands, more than 30 students from various RTCs and VTCs across the country are benefiting from the program.
