TAIWANESE YOUTH AMBASSADORS ARRIVED IN HONIARA

A group of Youth Ambassadors from Taiwan have arrived in the country this afternoon.

The twenty member delegation is here on a bilateral visit to boost youth exchange between the two states.

An earlier statement from the Solomon Islands Taiwanese Embassy says, the 2014 Taiwan Youth Ambassadors are all young talented university students recruited by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement says, the goal of this program is to promote cultural understanding, academic development, and forge long lasting friendships with people from different cultures.

The 2014 Taiwan Youth Ambassadors program ends next Tuesday.
