Vois Blo Mere Solomons is the new recipient of the UN Women Pacific Regional Facility Fund for Ending Violence Against Women.
The NGO media organisation today received $167,000 from the Facility.
The funds were handed over by the UN Women Deputy Representative Officer in Charge Nicolas Burniat to the Director of Vois, Josephine Teakeni.
Ms Teakeni says Vois blo Mere is honored to be among the ten other recipients of the grant in the Pacific.
“Vois Blong Mere is a recipient of this competitive Financial Facility and we are so honoured to be amongst the people who are able to access these funds. It also signifies the spirit that UN Women has in the region and especially for Solomon Islands through these partners the seriousness that you are playing in addressing the ongoing violence against women in Solomon Islands.
