For the people of Naro Community in the Reef islands of Temotu province, walking long distances to fetch water will now be a thing of the past.
Thanks to a water supply project funded by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Member of Parliament for Temotu Pele, Hon. Dudley Kopu for their assistance.
The community has been without proper water supply for many years.
A David Temoa told SIBC News the water supply project was funded by the Republic of China (Taiwan) with support from Hon. Dudley Kopu.
“The Naro water supply project was funded by ROC through an arrangement by the Member of Parliament for Temotu Pele Honourable Dudley Kopu.
Mr Temoa adds, seven taps were installed for the Naro community yesterday.
