33-YEAR OLD MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR RAPE NEXT MONTH

The High Court will sentence a 33 year old father from Marau, East Guadalcanal next month for raping his 12-year old daughter five times last year.

The father pleaded guilty to the five counts of rape.

He was supposed to receive his sentence today, but it was not ready.

Judge Francis Mwanesalua adjourned the matter to 8th September.

The father on several occasions threatened his daughter with a knife before raping her.

He also showed her pornographic movies and tricked her into going to the garden alone with him.

Meanwhile, another young man has denied raping a girl in August last year at Masi village, East Guadalcanal.

The man appeared behind bars this morning at the High Court and took his plea.

The case will appear again before the Court this Friday.
