
Prime Minister heads to U.S. Investment Summit in Honolulu
Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele MP, is travelling to Honolulu, Hawai’i to attend the Pacific Islands–United States Investment Summit on 23–24 February 2026.
The summit will provide an opportunity for Solomon Islands to engage with U.S. government and private sector partners on economic cooperation and investment opportunities.
Discussions will focus on sectors aligned with the Government for National Unity and Transformation’s development agenda, including sustainable fisheries, commercial agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy.
Solomon Islands will also advance its engagement under the Millennium Challenge Corporation Threshold Program towards a Compact Agreement.

In the Prime Minister’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Frederick Kologeto is Acting Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister for Finance and Treasury, Hon. Rex Ramofafia; Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Peter Shanel Agovaka; and Minister for National Planning and Development Coordination, Hon. Trevor Manemahaga.
