“Today the result was not on our side. The girls did their best today unfortunately we did not come up with what we expected today which is to get the win.”
“We recognize the areas we need to work on moving forward and continue working for our next games,” she said.
“Everyone was looking forward for a win, but the result did not turn out our way so yes, the girls were a bit down hearted, but we’ve encouraged each other and will be ready for the next one.
“The important thing I would say for us now is to put in more effort into our trainings,” she adds.
Results for Sunday’s actions saw defending champions Sunrise netball club maintaining their unbeaten run to four games after defeating Lakers 1, 71pts to 26pts.
Saturday’s actions on the other hand saw Police 1 defeating Green Berets 1 48-36pts, while Gold Ridge 1 picked up a 10 pts, 48-38 win over SOSA.
“Today’s game was tough. SOSA has been a tough opponent for us throughout the years. This is the first time for us to beat them in a very long time so yes, the girls are happy with the win,” Gold Ridge 1 Team Captain Louise Aumae said.
“This year we plan to climb up the rankings because for the past year’s we’ve finished in the bottom five positions of this competition.
“This win really motivates and boost our confidence to continue working hard for our remaining matches this season,” Aumae adds.
Sothern’s netball club versus NG Bees match last Saturday was cancelled and is postponed to a later date.
Mondays HNA Super Division results saw Phoenix 1 picking up a disappointing 42pts-40pts loss to Suvania 1.
