China eagerly anticipates PM Manele’s state visit

The government of the People’s Republic of China eagerly anticipates Prime Minister Honorable Jeremiah Manele’s inaugural State Visit to Beijing this week “committing to growing relationship,” the ultimate intent.
Premier Li Qiang of the State Council invited Prime Minister Manele to visit China from 9th– 15th July.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning announced days prior to PM Manele’s arrival, the government of the People’s Republic of China is committed to growing its relationship with Solomon Islands.
Spokesperson Mao was addressing a media question about the strategic importance of the China- Solomon Islands connection in relation to Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele’s first state visit to China.
“China is committed to growing friendship and cooperation with Solomon Islands and other Pacific Island Countries and contributing to their endeavor to promote economic and social development, improve people’s life and realize development and prosperity.”
Solomon Islands Ambassador to China His Excellency Barrett Salato confirms, PM Manele will visit and hold strategic dialogue with government leaders in a number of provinces and travel to China’s sprawling capital, Beijing to meet President Xi Jinping and top leaders and exchange views on China- Solomon Islands relationship and major pro-development issues.
The Chinese Communist Party and Government for National Unity and Transformation are also expected to sign a number of documents to guide specific interests, H.E Salato elaborated.
“The Sanitary and Phytosanitary protocols to enable the export/import of Agricultural and Fisheries products between Solomon Islands and China is one of the expected deliverables for the engagements,” Ambassador Salato emphasized.
Whether home or abroad, G-NUT leader and Prime Minister Manele’s engagement is unfeigned and steadfast in-line with his election victory statement… “discharge of duties diligently and integrity and at all times put the interest of our people and country above all other interests.”
Building a China- Solomon Islands community with a shared future featuring lasting friendship, solidarity and mutual benefit is a decision by China and Solomon Islands that stands at the strategic height of long-term development of humanity, global vision and people-to- people centered philosophy.
